SAT Prep Guide: How to Prepare for the Upcoming SAT

SAT

With the SAT season approaching, many high school students are beginning to prepare for their next test date. Whether you are taking the SAT for the first time or looking to improve your previous score, having a clear preparation plan can make your study time much more effective. So, how should you prepare for the SAT? How early should you start? And what should you focus on for Math and Reading and Writing? This guide covers the key areas of SAT preparation and provides practical tips to help students prepare for their upcoming test. Understanding the Digital SAT The SAT is now offered digitally and consists of two main sections: The Digital SAT is designed to test both academic skills and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints. At this stage, pay attention to: If your practice scores are becoming stable, the final weeks should focus on refining weak areas rather than trying to learn everything from scratch. How to Prepare for SAT Math SAT Math can be highly manageable when students understand the concepts and recognize common problem types. However, many students lose points not because they completely lack the necessary knowledge, but because of calculation errors, misunderstanding the question, or spending too much time on difficult problems. 1. Review the Core Concepts Make sure you are comfortable with topics such as: If there are significant gaps in your math foundation, address those gaps before focusing heavily on timed practice. 2. Keep Track of Your Mistakes Instead of simply marking a question wrong, identify why you missed it. Was it …
