Q&A
Generally, most high schools accept them. When applying to colleges, you’ll submit both your high school transcripts and the transcripts we provide. Colleges will recalculate your GPA, taking all transcripts into consideration.
No, it is not required. Upon completion of the course, you are not obligated to participate in the May AP exam. You will still receive a GPA-calculated transcript based on a 5.0 scale.
The courses are live. Each student has their own learning system, and after attending live classes, assignments and exams are completed within the learning system. Additionally, the learning system provides a wealth of study materials for students to reference and enhance their learning.

Common Questions
These answers can be adjusted based on the student’s school district, transcript requirements, and course provider.
Will my school accept the transcripts you provide?
Transcript acceptance depends on the student’s current school policy. We recommend confirming with the school counselor or registrar before enrollment, and our team can help families prepare the right questions.
Do I have to take the AP Exam for AP credit classes?
The AP course and the AP Exam are separate. Students may take an AP course for credit and still choose whether to register for the AP Exam based on their academic goals and school requirements.
Are the courses pre-recorded or live?
Courses may include real-time video instruction, independent coursework, and structured support. Novel Prep’s in-person study hall adds live academic guidance and accountability throughout the process.
Can students take courses during summer or school breaks?
Yes. Many students use summer or break periods to complete additional coursework, recover credits, or prepare for a stronger academic year.
